IYSA certificates have a unique number and QR code for instant online verification. Certificate validity can be checked at any time by charter companies, port authorities or other interested parties.
IYSA training is conducted in compliance with the international skill requirements for operators of pleasure craft, primarily governed by UNECE Resolution No. 40, which establishes the standards for the International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft (ICC) and with the requirements of Articles 47 and 48 of the Radio Regulations. ITU res. 343, CEPT/ERC/REC 31-04E. These certificates provide internationally recognised evidence of competence for skippering recreational vessels up to 24 metres in length.
